It kinda reminds me of a modern version of the post-2003 GMT800 face.
Shout out for them making HIDs standard even on the work truck. Also the 8-speed moved down onto the 5.3, but only on LTZ and High Country, which is weird. Hopefully it goes across the board. CarPlay and Android Auto though!

It was only on the 6.2 until now, as far as I know. Unless something changed and I never read about it.

Looked it up, your right. I’m about to become very acquainted with the 6L80 very soon. My new job uses all Chevy’s, except for one Cummins.

There’s a black Custom Sport Plus edition at a dealer I drive by every day. It looks amazing. Too bad its $53k.

I like it as well. I wish they’d let you option the 6.2 and 8-speed combo on a “regular” trim line, like the old Vortec Max package.

That would be properly awesome. I guess they figure that would take away some of the “exclusivity” of upper trim levels or something stupid like that.

Could be. Or perhaps it’s a way of “absorbing” some of the higher costs of the more expensive power-train into the cost of the high trim level. I’ve always assumed that’s why the Cruze diesel is LTZ only.

That makes a lot more sense. Though I have to wonder how much more the 6.2 actually costs to produce over the 5.3 since they’re the same architecture.

I love them in all black.
Just sit back and wait for them to drop in price as the new ones come out haha.
